Liz McCrea has called the City of Oaks home since December 2016 when she moved here with her husband, a Raleigh native who grew up in Mordecai. Liz has a long-standing love for all things real estate: from a passion for purposeful design and organizational aesthetics to her experience in short-term rentals, property management, and purchasing multiple primary residences and investment properties. Liz has been on all sides, situating her in a unique position to understand her client's needs from a broad, open-minded perspective. She believes that to educate buyers and sellers, she has to be constantly learning, supporting, and looking out for her clients. She'll probably want to meet you for coffee/tea/a meal, as she loves building relationships over sustenance!

Having grown up visiting the mountains of North Carolina, Liz, a South Florida native, feels especially at home amongst the tall oak and pine trees. She graduated in 2009 from the University of West Florida with a degree in Marketing, joining her family's manufacturing business shortly after. In 2012, she met her husband at a Halloween party, and a few years later they were engaged on the top of Rainbow Falls (located at Gorges National Park in Sapphire, NC). They had planned for their wedding to be held in Savannah, GA as an homage to her grandmother (still living) where Liz spent her fondest childhood summers.

Funny story: Mother Nature had other plans for their wedding. Two days prior, Hurricane Michael came ripping up the east coast, scheduled to make landfall in Savannah, GA on the day of their wedding. With the impossible support of friends and family, they moved the wedding to the NC State University Club in Raleigh, NC without changing the date. (If this story sounds familiar, you may have seen them interviewed on WRAL news back in 2017 where they told their story to Brian Mills!) Raleigh holds many special places in Liz's heart!

Liz lives happily among the trees in North Raleigh with her husband, two daughters, a rescue dog, and a once-stray cat. She enjoys spending time with her family (especially trips to the NC beaches), grabbing dinner with friends, cooking/baking, yoga/Pilates, learning Italian, and being anywhere in nature or with animals. She's volunteered with SAFE Haven Cat Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Spirit of Giving Network, NC State Vet Turtle Rescue Team, and Bowman Animal Clinic.
